Trip to saigon was the first time i'm travelling overseas alone. I've always wanted to try travelling alone cause i believe everyone's itinery is never the same. Well, it was a fruitful trip i had, my soul's still there i guess.

The moment i was there, i could feel the vibe of the city. The countless motorcycles, road hawkers, markets, shy stares from the citizens. I was cheated into paying 5 times of what i was supposed to pay for a ride in a taxi from the airport to my hotel. Checked into the hotel, told the receptionist what happened and she got really infuriated, she called up the taxi company and demanded a reinbursement of the taxi fare. Well, it wasn't really successful because i didn't have the driver's car license number. So she suggested i go down to the taxi company and identify the driver, which i think is a waste of time and effort cause they all kinda look the same! Really appreciate her effort though, for making me feel that there was still a piece of love in the city, that there are still lovely people around, and not everyone wants a slice of your wallet. Proceeded to take a moto taxi down to dong khoi st, where i had my clothes tailored. Then took a confusing walk down to saigon square, trying to stay calm and avoid the weird stares. I guess i was looking too "touristy" cause i had my huge slr slung accross my chest, and occasionally flipping out a map from my rear pocket. After a little shopping, went back to the hotel and had dinner. Explored the back alleys and found this shop selling pho. Pho, pronounced as 'fur', is a vietamese delicacy that is cheap and really tasty. I had it for all 4 days there, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A bowl of pho costs less than SGD$2! Sat down, and started talking to a vietnamese auntie. She could speak really good english. Proceeded to the one of the pubs and had a couple bottles of beer while watching the world cup. Over there, most people sit on stools. So there was a saying that the lower the stools, the cheaper the beer. And that was really true. I had beer every night and it costs merely USD$1 for a bottle of saigon beer. It was there when i got to know my first switzerland friend, valentine. We really hit it off really well, discussing about how similar life was in singapore and switzerland.

The next day, at 8 in the morning, i boarded the bus for a 2 1/2 hour journey, 70 km north of saigon city to an area known as cu chi. I soon realise I was the only asian in the bus. It's really amazing to see how life is like outside the city. i saw lots of houses next to cemeteries, children playing in the cemetries, cows and horses everywhere, feeding on the vast fields of greenery. There wasn't proper roads all the time, everywhere was dusty, though there was still some old world charm there. Once we reached cu chi, we headed to the famous cu chi tunnels. A 200km long underground tunnel which were used by the vietnamese to hide from the artillery fire. We were made to crawl through this tiny tunnel which was pitch black and only around 1m high and 1m wide. Watched a vietnamese propaganda film, showed us around the premises and interested tourist could try some live firing. I bought 10 bullets for the AK-47. It costs around SGD$20. So after the tour, we headed back to the city. I dropped my stuff at the hotel and proceeded to Dan sinh market. The market was stuffy, lots of army equipment. Exactly like the beach road army market in singapore. Just that they had tons of watches, zippos, ammo boxes and stuff, which the shop owners claim belonged to the dead american soldiers during the vietnam war. So after that, i walked to ben thanh market, which was a famous tourist trap. Prices were more costly, but the selection was huge. Got myself tailored clothes again. After dinner, i met up with valentine again, for some beer and to watch the world cup. We were bar hopping and that was where i met this vietnamese girl. Her name was chau and she could speak really good chinese. Spent the night chit chatting, and talking about how much i love vietnam.
So the next day, Chau and her friend wanted to take me shopping. They brought me to a bus station, where we took a bus to district 6. Didn't imagine i'll ever take a bus in vietnam cause the moto taxi's are so cheap and convenient, you don't ever have to waste time waiting for a bus. Well it was a great experience though, feeling how it's like taking a bus down town in saigon. Most vietnamese either own a motocycle, bicycle or take a bus to get around. District 6 was really different. There were hardly any tourists, so once again, everyone was staring at me like an alien. Didn't have much guts to take pictures though. Quite a pity. They took me to binh tay market, a huge wholesale market. I was shopping for a pair of sandles at this shop. The salesgirl could hardly speak english and we had a terrible time haggling over size and prices. Luckily, her mum spoke really good chinese and was really happy i was there. She was persistent to introduce her daughter to me. Telling me how hard working her daughter is and how old she is. We then went to andong plaza and andong market. In the night, chau bought me eggs from a street hawker. She claimed that it was duck eggs. The first one tasted really tasty. It was serve with a plate of chilli and various mint and basil leaves. The second one was nasty. the inside of the egg look brown. I thought it was preserved egg of something. I asked chau, and she refused to tell me what it was, just replied," you eat already you will know." She held up the spoon and thrust it towards my mouth. So being adventurous, and wanting the thrill of tasting exotic food, i gobbled it up. I didnt know what i was thinking, probably under the influence of beer, i didn't suspect it was something bad. All i thought was it was just preserved egg or something. Only till i started munching on it. i felt feathers and bones. So i spit out a little piece, and realised that it was a bone. Chau was laughing at the expression on my face. Only did she explain to me that it was a duck foetus. Well I soon got over it, the taste wasn't quite terrible, so i added lots of chilli to eat and finished the whole egg.

Crazy experience i suppose. I made so many new friends. Most of whom were alone, some were backpacking throughout asia, some were working in vietnam for years but never wanna go home. People from Vietnam, Australia, Uk, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Germany. Crossed moto littered roads, Haggled for discounts, Tried exotic food, went to tourist-free areas, lived life like a vietnamese in a city.

One thing for sure, i'm saving up for my next trip to the mekong delta. I'm really bitten by the travel bug and i've got the love for asia. I'll see you again soon, vietnam.

I'm back! Glad i made it back from brunei in one piece. I've been through lots of shit and learnt lots of stuff which made me quite happy.

Brunei is a terrible place. The jungle there, the weather, the terrain. But it isn't as terrible as what people describe as. Yeah sure it does rain almost everyday at 2pm, sure the mountains were steep, sure it was freezing cold at night. Glad i survived it all. Some parts of the mountains required us to climb on all fours. Just like spiderman. So i guess u can imagine the level of steepness! You see boulders which hardly exist in SG. Giant trees and giant ants as well. Giant moths and cicadas everywhere in the camp. Once after the rain stopped, The whole basketball court was filled with flying ants. There were so many of them u had to use ur feet to kick them off the ground before u can sit down.

At the airport before departing for brunei. We took a 1 hour and 45min flight to brunei. Landed, took a bus to the ferry terminal and took a 4 hour ride in the ferry to bangar town. From there, a 15min ride to lakiun camp.

R & R was quite fun. Although it's mosques and museums. They brought us to the water village as well. Surprisingly, the tour guide said that the people living on the kampong like water villages are richer then those on land. While the night was cold, we smoked red cigarettes. When i was shivering at sleep, my mates burnt wood to keep ourselves warm. When i was stuck on a tree and might fall and break my leg, my buddy threw his weapon away and saved me. When i was tired, my sergent offered glucose and lipton tea powder to me. When we needed hot food so badly i cooked maggi out of a sardine can. Thanks for everything.

Happy new year my friends!
We got the best platoon in the battalion for platoon proficiency test!It was a great Chinese new year i had, though everyone's getting busier n stressful. We still take time out to do what we do every year. Our reunion dinner of course, plus lao yu shen. Which tastes so fucking disgusting. HAHA.Well time flies. Ivan has ORDed, weecheong has enlisted and I've completed almost 1 year in NS. I've turned operational and on stand-by for a period. Just hope mas selamat comes back so i'll be activated to hunt for him. Haha.

Will be going for Exercise Lancer tomorrow. Training in brunei for those who don't know. It's gonna be tough. Tougher then what i've been through for the pass few months i guess? Actually, to be honest i'm kinda scared. After what everyone says how terrible a place brunei can be. How cold it can be when e sunsets and how hot it is in the day. Or to the extend that it rains everyday in the night and the insects are 10 times bigger than the ones in singapore.

Well it does scares me a little but i really wanna see how terrible that jungle can be. It's gonna be a real life experience for me and i promise, after coming back i'll cherish singapore even more. I'll be coming back on the 13th. Promise to post pictures of the place, and the escapades i survived!

Oh ya, i passed my TP on the first attempt. Scored 18 points. The tester was quite lenient i've got to say, though he sounded n looked damn strict! Took my sister's car for a drive of course.

Our trip to cmpb for the vertical marathon.
Goodbye, wish me luck for brunei. BYE.

Happy new year! I hope everyone will get pass 2009 smoothly.

2008 has been quite a good one. Not much major events though. I remember my redang trip which was wonderful. My first trip overseas with my friends. Enlistment to army, started fishing, going to thai discos, stopped clubbing, stopped buying labels, and err, i can't really think much.

Happy new year guys!

Dear friends, the next entry you see contains explicit language and if you're uncomfortable with it please don't read it. Oh ya, you'll probably be guessing if it's a story i wrote, or re-enacting a scene that happened on myself.

Chapter 1
"Will you take care of me?" Those were the last words Dan heard before they hoped on the blue taxi.

Our hearts were pumping anxiously not expecting what's gonna happen next. Nicole had her arms around Dan, her messy hair still had the beautiful shampoo smell that Dan loves.

This bespectacled malay uncle was driving the duo back to Nicole's place. She was dead drunk after all the drinking. She knew something was gonna happen as it did before.

"If i'm gonna kiss u or lick ur neck, just ignore alright?" Nicole said while trying to catch her next breath. That happened seconds after. The pair looked at each other in the eyes. Dan smiled while his right hand was caressing Nicole's hair.

She pushed herself an inch up hoping their lips would met. Dan jerked his head backwards. He was telling to himself that his motive was to escort her home safetly.

However, Dan wished he could taste those luscious lips of hers. All along, Dan did have a thing for her. Alright then. Dan thought.

Nicole made the advancement again. They were busy tasting each other while the speedometer reads 140km/h. Adrenaline was rushing while Nicole started running her hands all over Dan. The stentch of alcohol n cigarette smoke reeked. But neither bothered.

"Are u able to walk into your house n go back to your room?" Dan questioned. Nicole doubted it.

"Stay over at my place, I'll bring u back tomorrow." Said Dan.

"Promise nothing is gonna hapen? Promise you'll take care of me?" Nicole spoked with a weak smile.

"Yeah, yeah. I promise." Both of them hooked their fingers like they were kids.

"Uncle, change place." Dan muttered to the uncle who probably saw everything that went on earlier.

The fare was $19.50. Dan carried Nicole out of the taxi while a few malay kids at the nearby void deck wondered what was going on.

Soon, they were in Dan's room. Dan changed to his sleep wear. He poured a cup of ice water and assisted Nicole. She was gulping it like a bufalo. She was all smiles while sitting on the bed. Dan removed her necklaces, watches n bracelets. Positioned her on the pillow and covered the blanket for her.

Nicole reached out to grab Dan. "I want you to sleep together with me."

"Alright alright." Dan said. The moment he layed down, Nicole reached over to hug Dan like a bolster. Dan layed still, stiff as a log.

Soon, Nicole was on top. They were busy kissing each other. Dan felt really bad doing this, but he was dead tired n weak.

Nicole stood up n removed her pants. Tossing it on the floor. And went along next was her top as well. She assisted Dan in removing his shorts.

Nicole went straight down on it. Dan moaned in satisfaction. A feeling he haven felt for long. It felt great though a little prickly feeling was felt.

Dan couldn't take it anymore and withdrawed. Nicole wanted to continue giving, not allowing Dan to more away. It was only until Dan started inserting his fingers into her before she started to stop working on Dan.

Dan was busy pleasuring the G-spot he had found. This went on for 5 minutes and Nicole blurted, "F**k me."

Sex went on. Missionary first, switching to doggy style after a few minutes.

"You can really F**k me so long." Nicole said, with a slight grin on her face.

"I guess it was partly because of the alcohol. Don't u feel good?" Dan went harder n deeper.

"Yeah u bet. When was the last time u had sex?" Nicole said.

"Well, a year n a half back then I guess. What about you?" Dan said.

"Erm 2 months?" Nicole replied.

Dan knew she was promiscuous. He felt a little upset though, but he was already in her.

"Suck me off darling, I'm gonna cum." Nicole reached over n did it. Dan laid on his back, watching himself got eaten up. "U know what darling, this has got to be the best n craziest Bj I've ever received." Dan exclaimed.

The deed was done. They wiped up n continued hugging each other to sleep.

Chapter 2
Within mintues, Nicole was up again on Dan. Dan's eyes were half opened as he said,"What are u going to do to me? Are u gonna eat me up again? Are u gonna rape me?"

"Hee hee, are u horny?" Nicole with a shy expression.

She went straight for Dan's left ear n licked it. Dan loved it.

"Oh you're killing me!" Dan moaned as he said it. "I love getting my ears licked."

"And I love teasing you." Said Nicole.

"Are we gonna have sex again? I'm really tired." Said Dan.

The duo ended up doing it again.

"I'm gonna give you a surprise." Nicole said.

She went under the blanket n slided herself down, positioning her face right in front of that bulging crotch. She used all her strength to pull Dan's shorts down. Within seconds, Dan was there moaning again.

Dan loved the surprise he got.

"We're having sex while the sun is almost up, and the birds chirping." Dan said.

"Cum on my tummy." Nicole said while enjoying the thrusts Dan was busy giving.

"Argh!" The both of them moaned as if they've attained nirvana. Their bodies clung on tightly to each other.

Moments later, it was all over. Once again, Dan felt all wrong, so sinful, why was he so weak to stop Nicole. Though he felt like he was the one being take advantaged of, he knew it took 2 hands to clap. Dan felt like killing himself. He didn't know what he's done.

Dan checked his watch. Time, 7:00am.
