I'm back! Glad i made it back from brunei in one piece. I've been through lots of shit and learnt lots of stuff which made me quite happy.
Brunei is a terrible place. The jungle there, the weather, the terrain. But it isn't as terrible as what people describe as. Yeah sure it does rain almost everyday at 2pm, sure the mountains were steep, sure it was freezing cold at night. Glad i survived it all. Some parts of the mountains required us to climb on all fours. Just like spiderman. So i guess u can imagine the level of steepness! You see boulders which hardly exist in SG. Giant trees and giant ants as well. Giant moths and cicadas everywhere in the camp. Once after the rain stopped, The whole basketball court was filled with flying ants. There were so many of them u had to use ur feet to kick them off the ground before u can sit down.
At the airport before departing for brunei.
We took a 1 hour and 45min flight to brunei. Landed, took a bus to the ferry terminal and took a 4 hour ride in the ferry to bangar town. From there, a 15min ride to lakiun camp.
R & R was quite fun. Although it's mosques and museums. They brought us to the water village as well. Surprisingly, the tour guide said that the people living on the kampong like water villages are richer then those on land.

While the night was cold, we smoked red cigarettes. When i was shivering at sleep, my mates burnt wood to keep ourselves warm. When i was stuck on a tree and might fall and break my leg, my buddy threw his weapon away and saved me. When i was tired, my sergent offered glucose and lipton tea powder to me. When we needed hot food so badly i cooked maggi out of a sardine can. Thanks for everything.
