Es ist die Frage, wie interessant es ist, wenn ein Künstler quasi eine andere Künstlerin nachmalt und Frida ist eine unbestrittene Meisterin. Ich sehe es in dem Fall so, dass Nachahmung die höchste Form der Bewunderung ist. Lacombe zeigt in diesem Buch seine eigene und wunderschöne Interpretation einiger bekannter Werke von Frida.Das Buch hat einen glänzenden Stoffeinband und viele Bilder bestehen aus mehren übereinanderliegenden Seiten und Elementen. ich bin ein großer Fan von Lacombe's Arbeit und finde auch dieses Buch sehr gelungen.
Im Stile "Big eyes" hat der Künstler eines schönes Werk erschaffen, das die mexikanische Künstlerin Frida Kahlo ehrt. Dabei werden ihre Kunstwerke zitiert aber im Stile des Illustrators variiert. Der Einband ist aus bedrucktem Stoff. Das Buch innen hat Durchbrüche, die Fenster in die nächsten Seiten bzw. Bilder schaffen. Es handelt sich um ein Bilderbuch.
